What does that mean?
We are a local and autonomous church that is in friendly cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention. Our broader doctrines are in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message, which is the official Statement of Faith of the Southern Baptist Convention. We work together with the SBC, the Georgia Baptist Mission Board, our local Consolation Baptist Association, and all other local Southern Baptist organizations in order to accomplish the goal of making “disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that [Christ] has commanded [us].” (Matthew 28:19-20)
